CU has eleven semesters in total (because they are kind of evil and don't give the students any summers off) and we only have one left. Where did the time go?2) There are only 123 days until graduation!
I know because I have a countdown app on my phone. Robbie has asked me not to tell him the exact number of days because it stresses him out ("I have so much to do still!" -Robbie). What's nice is they have one month after graduation to complete any final requirements so I feel like that extra little cushion of time should help relieve the stress a little. For now, I will just share the countdown with you guys.3) He took the NBDE part II at the end of December and received this in the mail!
Just look at how beautiful that is. |
4) Robbie has a job lined up in Fort Collins for when he's done with school!!
This one is extra exciting because that is where we wanted to end up once school was over since our family/friends/church home are all there. I have met the Dentist he'll be working with a few times and I think they are going to work really well together. The plan is to join as an associate and be mentored for awhile. Then down the road, if they both still feel like it's a good fit, Robbie would buy into the practice.
It's been a long road! I still remember writing one of my early posts titled "How to Thrive While Your Husband's in Dental School" and it's probably about time I wrote a follow up to that post. After all, we added "buying a home" and "having a kid" to the whole experience.
Speaking of having a kid, our little one is now 8 months old! We managed to survive the holidays (including a 4 hour present-opening marathon) but are still trying to survive some serious teething and sleep issues.
I will be working on my follow up post over the next few days so keep an eye out for it!
