In college I studied Spanish as well as Health and Exercise Science before finally switching to Dental Assisting.
In August of 2012 we moved to Aurora, Colorado for Robbie to attend Dental School and thus was born the "Love Like Enamel" blog. During first year, I stayed at home while we adjusted to life in a new city (and life in Dental School). During years 2 and 3, I worked as a Dental Assistant at the school and at the beginning of his fourth year, I gave birth to our daughter, Jubilee.
I have worked at many awesome jobs over the years including a movie theater, toy store, Chiropractic office, and Dental offices but I am now thoroughly enjoying my work as a stay at home mom!
Here are a few more quick facts about me:
- I'm a follower of Jesus. I decided I wanted to know Him when I was only in elementary school but it wasn't until High School that I actually began to understand who He was and how much He loved me. It took several more years until I truly loved Him back and allowed Him to start changing my heart. While my actions are far from perfect, He has given me a love for other people that I didn't have before knowing Him. His kindness, love, and grace give me a desire to live a life that honors Him and I can't wait to see Him face to face in Heaven!
- I love movies. My favorite would probably have to be Rocky (though I didn't see it for the first time until just a couple years ago). There are at least a couple movies from almost every genre that I enjoy but SciFi, Action, and Disney animated make up the majority.
- I love animals. I had a lot of pets growing up (fish, snakes, birds, rats, a hamster, dogs, cats, and salamanders) and Steve Irwin was my childhood hero.
- I love personality tests. My DiSC profile is a CS and my Myers Briggs personality is ISTJ (which puts me in the same group as Spock, Professor Snape, and Adrian Monk--don't I sound fun???).
